Giovanni Battista Bibolini, has no sons but wishes to keep the family’s business alive, so he adopts the niece Valentina and splits the fleet between her and other family members.
Young Roberto thus starts his own successful career in shipping, managing big merchant vessels.
Among the ships commissioned to Italian shipyards the OCEANIA stands out. She is a 250,000 tons oil tanker built in Monfalcone by Fincantieri.

The Association aims at to maintain and promote the heritage and the exhibits kept at the Galata Museo del Mare, at the Naval Museum of Pegli and at the Commenda di San Giovanni di Prè.
