The group was founded by Senator G.B. Bibolini who, having no offspring, decided to split the fleet between some family members and one of his most faithful employees: Enrico Telesio. Telesio dies in 1952, three years before Bibolini leaving two sons and a daughter: Augusto, Angela (later to become Mrs Filippi) and Stefano, who will go on managing the company.
The group managed by the Telesio Filippi family have since been active in several sectors of shipping, from bulk carries to oil, chemicals and gas transport.

The Association aims at to maintain and promote the heritage and the exhibits kept at the Galata Museo del Mare, at the Naval Museum of Pegli and at the Commenda di San Giovanni di Prè.
We are a no-profit organization made of several companies from the Genoese shipping business. Our association is inspired by the anglo-saxon cultural foundations.
